Pumps OK Recognized as a Voice of Small Business
PumpsOK was recently recognized by the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) as a 2014 “Voice of Small Business.” The recognition came as part of the 16th Annual Small Business Day at the Capitol event held April 30 at the Oklahoma State Capitol’s 2nd Floor Rotunda. The event was hosted by Lieutenant Governor Todd Lamb.
PumpsOK’s profile was displayed along with ten other small businesses at the event, which was attended by elected officials, the media, and hundreds of attendees. PumpsOK attendees included treasurer Terri Greenly, sales & marketing director Russell Rupp, and controller Pat Painter.
“PumpsOK has been part of the business community in Oklahoma since 1968,” says Greenly. “We’re proud to be members of NFIB, and we’re proud to give a voice to small business around the state.”
“Strong small businesses provide a healthy economy, a healthy economy creates opportunities for families, and those families create a great Oklahoma,” says Lt. Governor Lamb.
NFIB is a nonprofit, non-partisan business advocacy organization who stated mission is “to promote and protect your right to own, operate and grow your business.” In addition to offering research, training, and other resources, NFIB advocates for small business issues at both state and national levels.
